Top 5 Things to Avoid After a Break-Up

This week's post is inspired by the messiness between Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj.

I never really like this hook up, the rumors from the start threw me off and in my mind had Meek looking like an obsessed guy that never had a fine woman before and Nicki looking to shit on her ex. With that said; let's get into this week's list;

Top 5 Things to avoid after a Break up

5) Social Media Post

Social media in our generation is a quick and easy place to go and express yourself. Unfortunately, it is also a quick and easy place to evoke emotion. Stay away from social media posts until you have truly dealt with the issue at hand. Faking like you are over someone when you aren't will have you looking silly and childish. Be mature get some new sex then come back and have a well thought out social media post rather than your "Life better now" response. Less is more.

4) Talking Shit About Your Ex

Back to this maturity thing, your ex is someone you believed in and cared for at some point. This person is now on your resume of dating. You should want to talk up your resume not down. If the person didn't do something egregious, leave it alone. Nothing is gained from speaking down on others. Acknowledge your mistake and move on. Trust me there will be dozens of other trash people for you to date,

3) Releasing Ex's Secrets

This can and will come back to haunt you. Releasing intimate secrets of an ex is disgraceful and not too smart; especially, if you have something you don't want released to the public. For example; dropping a nude of your ex, or maybe telling the world your ex had an abortion. these things look bad on you (the person releasing the information). First, you can't be trusted with top secret information. secondly, you are emotionally unstable. and who wants to risk their secrets with a person who has shown they can't keep them when the relationship is finished? Now imagine how spiteful the person you just outed to the world will be when it's their turn to get revenge on your behavior. Good luck.

2) Keeping To Yourself

A common mistake people make in this world is believing that a situation only happens to you. Break ups happen to everyone and not everyone has the same opinion on them. Talk to somebody, there are a bunch of different people with different experiences and views who can give you the insight you need to move forward. All my #LawrenceHive fellas know, a few words of encouragement from an old friend can get you out your funk and into a good woman with some #HennyDick.

1)  Messing Up Your Blessing

This last one is a general one. We all have done something after a break up that was short sighted and not well thought out. These things range from getting back with that ex to a pregnancy with a rebound. Evaluate what has happened and move forward. Don't block your blessing, see that you are in the position you're in because a higher power has put you there. Be responsible and mature.
